New year in a rainy Johannesburg – washing away the old and bringing blessings

Reflecting on the ups and downs and highs and lows of 2018 and allowing the rain to wash away the dirt from 2018 and prepare for the new year, 2019.

If I have to think about 2018, the most remarkable thing about it was the amazing people who shared it with me. I had the extraordinary fortune of meeting some of the best people yet, learnt exactly how valuable others are and have been for years and found huge comfort in the love and support of those around me.

As with every year 2018 had plenty of challenges and opportunities. I think the best way of reviewing the year, is to take the good out of it and depose of the bad. So leaving the trash behind I am going into the new year wearing a smile, grateful and hopeful. That said I am looking forward to a new year, many opportunities and a brand new start. 365 days to find opportunities and make them count.

Thank you to each special person who shared my journey in 2018, you are phenomenal! I’d be very grateful if you would stay on board for the next flight, 2019.

Let me lead by example, give without taking, love without expecting and continue along my incredible journey.

Happy New Year, a brand new start and remember to always wear a smile! As Dr Seuss reminded us, “teeth are always in style”, I’m going into 2019 with a big smile!
